Wonderment Blog

A space to pause. A space to reflect. A space to remember that there is still wonder in becoming who you were always meant to be.

Wonderment is where I share reflections, healing insights, spiritual practices, personal stories, and gentle invitations to look within. These are words for the woman who has survived, grown, questioned, started over, and is learning to create a life rooted in something deeper than survival.

Here, we explore the spaces between healing and becoming—where self-discovery meets spirituality, where intuition meets lived experience, and where the past can become wisdom rather than a life sentence.

You may find yourself here looking for answers. You may simply need a reminder that you are not alone.

Whatever brought you here, take what resonates, leave what doesn't, and give yourself permission to wonder.

Heal. Reflect. Explore. Grow.

Welcome to Wonderment.

There are stories we tell the world, and then there are the stories we slowly learn to tell ourselves.

For years, I have been exploring what exists beneath survival, beneath the wounds, beneath the identities we create because of what we've experienced.

And now, I want to invite you into that exploration with me.

I am launching a new weekly blog created for women who are ready to pause, reflect, heal, and reconnect with the woman beneath everything they've been through.

Each Sunday, I'll share a piece of the journey through personal reflections, poetry, affirmations, and journal prompts inspired by my upcoming books, The Woman Beneath the Trauma and Cliff Notes for the Soul.

These won't be perfect answers.

They won't tell you how you should heal.

They will simply create a space for you to ask yourself deeper questions, listen to your inner voice, and perhaps discover something about yourself that has been waiting to be seen.

A little story.

A little poetry.

A little soul work.

A moment to come back to yourself.

If you've ever wondered who you are beyond your survival story, I hope you'll join me.

Subscribe today and be here when the first note arrives every Sunday to your inbox.

Audio available for new episodes

And if you know a woman who might need these words, invite her to join us, too.

Because sometimes one honest sentence can reach a woman exactly where she needs it.

The story is continuing.
The healing is continuing.
And perhaps, so are you.

Meet the Author

Elise Skibik

Author. Life Coach. Reiki Master. Trauma Advocate.

Elise Skibik is an author, trauma-informed life coach, Reiki Master, and advocate for women who are ready to move beyond survival and reconnect with themselves.

Through her writing, coaching, and spiritual work, Elise explores the intersection of healing, self-discovery, intuition, spirituality, and personal transformation. Her work is rooted in the belief that healing isn't about becoming someone new it is about returning to the parts of yourself that trauma, fear, and conditioning taught you to abandon.

Elise is the author of five books, including the memoir Damaged Girl and the Poems for the Women Wild at Heart series. Her writing invites readers into honest conversations about the human experience while offering hope, reflection, and a pathway toward something more.

She is also the creator of the TRANSCEND Method, a transformational framework designed to help women move through the layers of healing with greater self-trust, awareness, compassion, and intention.

Through her work and her Wonderment community, Elise creates spaces where women can pause, reflect, explore their inner worlds, and discover what becomes possible when they choose healing over simply surviving.

Her message is simple:

You are more than what happened to you.

After years of searching for a place for my writing, we have found a space here….

You don’t Have to Be Strong Every Day

⚓ Week 2 — You Don't Have to Be Strong Every Day

What if strength isn't always about pushing through?

Sometimes healing looks like resting, allowing yourself to receive support, and giving yourself permission to simply be.

This week in The Woman Beneath the Trauma, we're exploring the pressure to always be strong, the importance of self-compassion, and how to honor our needs without guilt.

✨ Featuring a gentle healing anchor, holistic reflection, original poetry, affirmation, and journal prompt.

Affirmation: I am worthy of rest, even when I have nothing left to give.
